GFL Environmental is hiring AZ/DZ Vacuum Truck Operators for full-time emergency response roles in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Engage in hazardous waste collection and contribute to environmental safety during critical incidents. The successful candidates will specialize in managing various emergency responses, including spills, highway incidents, and clandestine laboratory decommissioning. You will be integral in preserving safety and minimizing risks while working flexible hours. In this role, collaboration with emergency services and adherence to safety regulations are paramount for effective operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vacuum trucks for hazardous material collection
• Respond to environmental spill incidents swiftly
• Conduct job-specific health and safety training
• Assist in regulatory compliance and documentation
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid AZ and/or DZ license
• Flexible schedule for emergency situations
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong work ethic and motivation to learn
• Ability to lift 75 lbs consistently
