Abatement / Demolition Worker
Zero Environmental Inc
We are a reputable firm located in Kitchener that specializes in remediation (the safe removal of mould and designated substances), water damage restoration and general demolition. Other services include media blasting and general carpentry and drywall work.
Most work sites are local and travel is compensated.
Responsibilities:
- Safe removal of hazardous building materials
- Set up and take down containment areas
- Follow cleaning and decontamination procedures
- Bag and dispose of materials properly
- Help with demolition and general labour work when needed
- Carry materials and keep the site clean
- Adhere to safety guidelines, protocols and procedures
- Use of basic hand and power tools
- Wear respirator and proper PPE
Requirements:
- Asbestos abatement, mould remediation and demolition experience
- AAW and/or IICRC certification is an asset but willing to train the right candidates
- Strong customer care and service skills
- Able to perform physical job duties, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working in various conditions
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Strong communication and team work skills
