Station Attendant - FT - Port Coquitlam/Coquitlam/Port Moody

Commissionaires BC is currently recruiting for a Station Attendant to work with us on the West Coast Express line!

West Coast Express has stations from Waterfront to Mission. For this position its between the Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam and Port Moody stations. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00am - 9:00am and Monday - Wednesday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

Pay rate: $26.17/hr.

Note that this is a unionized position. 

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Providing superior customer service to clients and the public
• Greeting customers, and assisting them with use of the service
• Public announcements regarding train difficulties and delays
• Administering the Lost & Found
• Performing random fare validation checks, as well as passenger counts
• Monitoring stations for vandalism, maintenance, and safety concerns
• Keeping station conditions clean, presentable and safe, including trash, snow, and graffiti removal
• Maintaining equipment and inventory
• Liaising with law enforcement when necessary
• Investigating and documenting incidents promptly and accurately
• First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
• Reporting to the Site Supervisor and Operations Management for further duties as necessary

Your Must-Haves:

• Excellent communication skills 
• Ability to travel to the various sites with your own vehicle 
• Basic First Aid (OFA 1)
• Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills 
• Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public 
• Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
