Boom Truck Drivers – Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement

Our company is looking for experienced Boom Truck Drivers. These positions are Monday to Friday, with some overtime required. This is a hands-on role that involves both driving and physical labour. The Boom Truck Drivers are responsible for safely loading, securing, transporting, and delivering building materials to customers and vendor job sites using a boom truck.

The successful candidates will receive full company-paid benefits after 90 days.

Responsibilities:

• Perform labour-intensive deliveries by booming different building materials, including roofing supplies, shingles, drywall, and related products, to customers and vendors’ job sites daily
• Load and unload materials following proper safe work procedures and requirements
• Ensure orders are accurately filled, loaded, and secured according to all safe work procedures
• Pick up excess building materials from job sites as instructed and complete the required paperwork
• Complete all required paperwork promptly and accurately, including noting any order shortages or changes
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicles
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Class 3 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement
• Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Crane and rigging certification
• Able to provide a clean driver’s abstract upon successful hire
• Fall protection certification is an asset
• Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting, carrying over 50 lbs, and bending repeatedly on a daily basis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Forklift licence an asset
• Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
• Reliable vehicle is required as this is along a non-bus route

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outdoors year-round.
• Safety boots and safety equipment are required.
• Work in a busy, high-volume environment.
