Software Engineering Manager

I'm currently working with an innovative technology company that's building large-scale software solutions used in mission-critical environments. They're looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of 10-12 engineers in their Vancouver office.What You'll Be Doing:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10-12 software engineersDrive technical strategy and delivery across complex software platformsPartner with architects and senior leadership on system design and engineering best practicesConduct code reviews and contribute to technical decision-makingHelp modernize development processes, tooling, and CI/CD practicesHire, onboard, and grow engineering talent as the team continues to scaleWhat They're Looking For:8+ years of software engineering experience3+ years of engineering leadership experienceStrong technical background with both C++ and C#Experience building and supporting large-scale applications, APIs, or distributed systemsStrong understanding of software architecture, Agile development, and modern engineering practicesAbility to balance technical leadership with people managementNice to Have:Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or microservicesBackground in IoT, embedded systems, hardware-integrated software, or real-time applicationsThis is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys staying close to the technology while managing and developing high-performing teams.
