The Starlit Foundation
Looking to find a community, volunteer for a cause, or discover new books? The Starlit Foundation is hiring for our 2026-2027 volunteer committee! The Starlit Foundation is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to increasing literacy and wielding books as a tool for advocacy across the globe.
As a volunteer, you can either participate in remote and/or in-person initiatives, including the following:
- Intergenerational Book Club at senior homes in the GTA (ONGOING INITIATIVE!)
- Organizing book drives to donate to charities such as The Children's Book Bank.
- Fundraising for organizations that are proponents of international literacy.
- Participating in awareness campaigns for banned books week, human rights, and global literacy.
- And many more opportunities!
Eligibility:
- MUST be in high school or an undergraduate student at the time of application.
- If applying for in-person volunteering, you must be able to commute to Milton, Ontario.
