About the Role 

We’re looking for a dedicated, reliable, and professional Full-Time Security Guard to join our team at a community-focused site in Winnipeg. 

This position is ideal for an experienced security professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, providing excellent customer service, and interacting respectfully with students, families, staff, and members of the public. 

Schedule & Pay 

• Hourly Rate: $17+/hour 
• Schedule: Morning and evening shifts 
• Status: Full-Time 

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to maintain site safety and prevent unauthorized access 
• Monitor and control access points while enforcing site rules and procedures 
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the site 
• Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and other situations as required 
• De-escalate challenging situations using sound judgment and effective communication 
• Provide professional and respectful customer service to students, families, staff, visitors, and members of the public 
• Communicate effectively using two-way radios 
• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and daily activity reports 
• Work collaboratively with site staff and other security team members 

Requirements 

• Minimum 2 years of security guard experience 
• At least 19 years of age 
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a CSA-approved provider 
• MOAB Certification — or willingness to complete company-sponsored training prior to onboarding 
• High School Diploma or GED 
• English fluency, both written and spoken 
• Comfortable performing physical duties, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods 
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills 
• Ability to work professionally and respectfully with children, families, and vulnerable members of the public 
• Comfortable interacting professionally and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds 
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
