Securities Associate

How does the role impact the organization?

This position requires an ability to work in a high-volume, pressure-oriented environment. Inherent system deadlines require the successful candidate to possess very strong organizational and prioritization skills. Additionally, the ability to balance these significant challenges and interact well with others is essential.

What will your role be responsible for?

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of outgoing wire transfers to RBC Express banking system.
• Prepare and execute accurate journal entries to our client account and general ledger accounts.
• Provide back up coverage for cashier duties in times of absence and high volume.
• Support physical stock certificate tasks (domestic and foreign securities) and perform related reconciliation duties;
• Provide shareholder communication assistance for proxy votes and solicitation fees;
• Participate in department initiatives and projects and other duties as assigned.
• Respond to client and advisor queries via email and telephone as well as, support department escalation and/or exception requests

What do we expect from you?

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Hardworking and self-motivated. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team
• Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Intermediate-Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information
• Ability to communicate proficiently in French is an asset.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of related Financial Services experience or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Online Banking Systems and Dataphile application is an asset.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
