Remote Software Engineer II at Affirm

Affirm

Drive batch development effectiveness as a Software Engineer II with Affirm in a remote setting across Canada. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and streamline workflows. In this role, you will engage with product management and infrastructure engineers to break larger initiatives into manageable tasks. You’ll support your teammates throughout the product development lifecycle, articulate technical constraints, and contribute to vital operational metrics. Ensuring the availability of your team's artifacts is crucial as well, supporting ongoing efforts. Key Responsibilities:

Break down larger projects into tasks with your team
Collaborate with product management and design
Monitor and create metrics for team artifacts
Participate in growth activities like interviews
Provide timely support and troubleshooting for operations

Requirements:

1.5+ years as a software engineer
Proficient in Python or Kotlin
Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
Strong debugging and feedback skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
