Senior Scada Controls Engineer

SCADA controls expertise supports reliable operations across Northland’s North American wind, solar, and natural gas facilities. This role focuses on secure systems.The SCADA Engineer, Operations provides subject-matter expertise throughout operating asset lifecycles. You will troubleshoot SCADA and DCS systems, deliver upgrades, support commissioning, and work with IT/OT cybersecurity teams. The position also coordinates vendors, maintains documentation, and improves control-system performance.Key Responsibilities:
Lead SCADA and control-system upgrade projectsTroubleshoot facility SCADA, DCS, telemetry, and historian systemsSupport testing, commissioning, and facility turnoverMaintain standards, configurations, backups, and recovery proceduresCoordinate vendors, consultants, contractors, and service providersRequirements:
Six or more years of SCADA or controls experienceWorking knowledge of Modbus TCP, DNP3, OPC, and industrial networkingExperience troubleshooting complex industrial control-system issuesExperience delivering upgrades in operating industrial facilitiesBachelor’s degree and Canadian P.Eng. designation strongly preferredApply SCADA engineering, industrial networking, commissioning, and cybersecurity knowledge across Northland’s renewable and natural gas facilities.
