Health Care Aide

Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking health care aides to join our Home Services department! Health care aides provide in-home support to seniors and individuals who need assistance completing activities of daily living.

Health care aides

• provide personal care and support to clients in client homes according to the service plan,

• monitor and accurately record and report on the status of clients,

• complete appropriate charting in the Alayacare mobile app,

• participate in quality improvement activities,

• recommend changes to service plans as client needs change,

• attend in-services, workshops, and training sessions as required, and

• use appropriate safety measures including universal precautions and infection control procedures.

Required skills and qualifications

• must be at least 18 years old,

• must have completed a health care aide certificate program that meets the provincial standard,

• must be currently registered, or eligible for registration, with the CLHA,

• must provide your most recent tuberculosis screening prior to the date of hire,

• must be able to provide care in accordance with legislation, care plans, and training, and

• must have a valid class 5 driver’s license, with current registration and insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

All new health care aides must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check prior to providing client care.

Hours: Casual and Regular Hourly – must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends

Location: Lethbridge, AB

Wage: $22 - $27
