About the Role
The Bilingual (French/English) Senior Manager – Client Proposal Strategy writes and creates strategic client‑facing materials, including RFx responses (e.g., RFP, RFI, RFQ), proactive sales‑driven proposals, PowerPoint presentations, pitchbooks, and treasury consultative documents. The role oversees end‑to‑end creation of client‑facing material across the North American footprint, with an emphasis on Québec and across business units, to ensure delivery of tailored, competitive, consistent, and high‑quality proposals that comply with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to a cross‑functional global team responsible for RFP creation, submission, and follow‑through, ensuring consistency in standards and messaging.
- Write concise, persuasive content, translating complex information into digestible written material for a range of audiences.
- Draw on the content database and subject‑matter experts to assemble client‑facing documents based on sales‑manager requirements, while maintaining and elevating the content database.
- Maintain accurate records of proposals and presentations, and collect debrief information for relevant internal stakeholder groups.
- Complete detailed treasury consultative documents and identify potential new business opportunities or service improvements.
- Collaborate with sales teams and partners to support the financial success of the Global Transaction Banking Sales team worldwide.
- Drive a global client‑centric culture designed to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships and practices.
- Improve effectiveness of processes and service delivery for RFPs, RFIs, and other large complex proposals.
- Work with business units, product teams, and subject‑matter experts to craft tailored, compelling proposals across Scotiabank’s footprint.
- Track KPIs such as win rates, number of submissions, turnaround times, and client feedback to measure unit success and efficiency.
- Drive innovation within the RFP process to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance client experience, and position Scotiabank to win key proposals.
- Operate in line with Scotiabank’s risk culture, values, code of conduct, and global sales principles, ensuring compliance with AML/ATF sanctions and conduct risk.
- Support additional duties as assigned by the Director & Head, Global Client Proposals & Content Strategy.
What You’ll Bring
- Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
- Experience and understanding of Global Cash Management and strategic guidance delivery.
- Knowledge of transactional banking services for large international businesses, or the ability to rapidly develop such expertise.
- 5+ years of experience responding to RFPs within a bank, financial institution, or related finance industry.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to express complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and experience with a centralized content library.
- Graphic design skills for technical writing are an asset.
- Self‑motivated with strong organizational and stakeholder/project management skills, adept at managing resources, tracking deliverables, prioritizing tasks, and handling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
