Housekeeping Supervisor

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor will supervise work activities of housekeeping employees to ensure superior guest service and quality standards are met. The Housekeeping Supervisor will assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. The Housekeeping Supervisor may purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories and assist in hiring, training and other employee relations duties. The key responsibilities of the Housekeeping Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
-Assigns employees their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed Pacific Sands quality standards.
-Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and takes corrective action.
-Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
-Coordinates work activities among departments including daily updates and communication.
-Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
-Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
-Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or employee shortage.
-Attends employee meetings to discuss company policies and takes meeting minutes.
-Issues supplies and equipment to employees.
-Works with the Housekeeping Manager to establish standards and procedures for work of housekeeping employees.
-Communicates with Guest Services and Maintenance Departments on all pertinent issues and room status updates.
-Records data regarding work assignments and employee actions.
-Assists Housekeeping Manager in screening job applicants, hiring new employees and recommending promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
-Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Languages: English
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Work Settings: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Willing to relocate
