Well-being Counsellor Focused on Student Support

Help shape the future of girls at The Bishop Strachan School as a full-time Well-being Counsellor. Your role will focus on enhancing their social and emotional well-being. The Bishop Strachan School is seeking a Well-being Counsellor for Grades 9-12 to create and support effective social-emotional programs. Candidates must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychotherapy, along with relevant experience in educational settings. Duties include counseling, facilitating workshops, and fostering an inclusive community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with faculty on holistic student well-being
  • Offer brief counseling and support for students
  • Conduct workshops on well-being topics
  • Assist faculty in fostering an inclusive environment
  • Manage student absence coordination with school staff
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work, Psychotherapy, or related field
  • Experience in high school counseling
  • Extensive knowledge of student emotional needs
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to cultural competence and diversity
