We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior User Experience Designer to become a part of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end user experience of our digital products, from research and ideation to the delivery of intuitive and engaging interfaces. You will get to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to solve complex user problems and create innovative, user-centered designs.

NOTE: Candidate must reside in Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Design Process : Guide the end-to-end user experience design process, from concept and research to implementation and testing.
• Collaborative : Work closely with produce managers, developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive and functional designs.
• User Research & Testing : Conduct user research, gather feedback, and perform usability testing to inform design decisions and improve the user experience.
• Design Artifacts : Create various design artifacts, including wireframes storyboards, user flows, sitemaps, and prototypes and mockups.
• Design System : Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system and style guides to ensure consistency across our platform and products.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide designers, fostering a collaborative team environment and advocating for UX best practices.
• Advocacy : Champion the user’s needs and advocate for user-centered design practices within Magnet.
• Innovation : Stay abreast of industry trends, conduct competitive analysis, and explore new approaches to UX design and testing.
• Communication : Present designs and articulate design rationale to senior management and development teams.
• Travel: 5-10% (e.g. Visiting customer sites, attending conferences, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in UX Design, Digital Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of UX design experience (including creating solutions for web and desktop applications.).
• Design Leadership: Proven experience in UX design, including leadership or senior-level roles.
• Design Principles : Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, design thinking, and information architecture
• Communication : Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present design solutions.
• Problem-solving : Demonstrated ability in developing design strategies and defining problems to align the organization around a unified north star vision.
• Adaptability: Capable of quickly learning and adapting to new technologies.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience designing for accessibility and inclusivity, adhering to WCAG standards.
• Proven experience in working with quantitative data, including defining key metrics to track and deriving actionable insights from the results.

• The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you.  If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

Compensation Range:

MIN: $111,300 - MID: $159,000 - MAX: $190,800 CAD
