The role

We are seeking a Recruiter & Talent Network Builder, based in Canada, who excels at sourcing, engaging, and placing top technology talent, and who is a natural connector.

This role has two equal halves. First, you will own full-cycle recruiting for open roles across our client engagements and internal team. Second, you will build and nurture Dura Digital's warm bench : a curated, engaged network of pre-qualified consultants we can mobilize quickly when new work lands.

The warm bench is how we say yes to clients faster. Success here depends less on filling a single requisition and more on the depth and quality of relationships you build over time. You will partner closely with our Growth, Delivery, and Resourcing teams so that we know who we can call before we need to call them.

Key responsibilities

Full-cycle recruiting

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, from understanding role requirements and sourcing candidates to facilitating interviews and supporting hiring decisions.


• Identify and engage top technology talent (data, AI, cloud, software engineering, automation, and delivery roles) through strategic sourcing and proactive outreach.


• Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for technical, client, and cultural fit.


• Coordinate interview processes, prepare candidates, and provide timely follow-up feedback.


• Negotiate offers for employees and contractors, and support onboarding handoffs.


• Work closely with hiring managers, Delivery, and the Growth team to meet client and business needs.

Warm bench & talent network

• Build and maintain a warm bench of pre-vetted, available, and interested consultants mapped to our core service areas and to anticipated client demand.


• Stay in regular, genuine contact with bench talent so they are engaged, current, and ready to start when an opportunity opens.


• Partner with Growth and Resourcing to anticipate upcoming demand from the pipeline and pre-build shortlists before roles are formally opened.


• Grow Dura Digital's presence in Canadian tech communities through meetups, industry events, user groups, alumni networks, and referral programs.


• Keep bench profiles, skills, rates, and availability accurate and searchable in our recruiting systems.


• Maintain relationships with past candidates, former consultants, and "silver medalists" so great people stay close to Dura Digital.

Market insight

• Stay informed on Canadian tech talent trends, compensation and rate benchmarks, and hiring regulations.


• Share insights with leadership to shape recruiting strategy, rate cards, and workforce planning.

What success looks like

• Open roles are filled quickly with high-quality candidates who stay and thrive.


• A healthy warm bench exists for each of our core service areas, with engaged people ready to start.


• New client opportunities are staffed from the bench before a formal search is needed.


• Candidates, consultants, and hiring managers describe the experience as responsive, honest, and personal.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in recruitment, including 2+ years in IT or technology hiring, ideally in consulting, professional services, or staffing.


• Proven success in headhunting and proactive candidate outreach.


• A strong, active network in the Canadian technology community, and a track record of building talent pools or benches, not just filling requisitions.


• A natural connector: you enjoy meeting people, remember what matters to them, and keep relationships warm over months and years.


• Ability to manage multiple hiring processes and a growing talent network efficiently.


• Familiarity with Canadian employment practices, including both employee and independent contractor engagements.


• Experience with an ATS or CRM (for example, HubSpot) and LinkedIn Recruiter.


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in recruitment or HR.


• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English is required, and French or Spanish is a plus.

Location & employment type

• Remote, based in Canada (Alberta preferred; must be legally eligible to work in Canada).


• Occasional travel to client sites, industry events, and team gatherings.
