The Mill Pub and The Marsh House in Quesnel is currently searching for a motivated and dependable Cook to join our kitchen team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in preparing quality food, and work well as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.

Wage: $275 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and quality standards
• Ensure food is presented consistently and in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times
• Assist with prep work, portioning, and stocking supplies
• Work efficiently during busy service periods
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
• Help with receiving and storing deliveries properly
• Support the kitchen team wherever needed

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, pub, or fast-paced kitchen preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
