SharePoint Technical Architect

We are looking for a SharePoint Technical Architect for our Calgary branch to support the designing and architecture of the SharePoint environments. You will be overseeing the architecture, design, development, and support of a client's public and internal-facing SharePoint systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint architecture and development, as well as experience with Office 365. The Technical Architect is an integral part of the project team

A Day in the Life:

• Design and implement SharePoint Infrastructure solutions for clients based on industry best practices that meet business requirements
• Plan and execute SharePoint migrations (On-Prem to Office 365, tenant to tenant)
• Work with team members to resolve client issues
• Work with the sales team to gather client requirements in pre-sales engagements and write statements of work
• Work with the project team on projects to ensure the proper delivery of solutions promptly
• Keep up to date with current technologies and trends, especially around networking
• May be required to perform work outside of regular business hours
• Participate in group events and discussions
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in SharePoint and Office 365

What You Bring:

• +5 years designing and delivering SharePoint Infrastructure Solutions, including configuration, administration, and migration
• Broad experience in key SharePoint specialty skill-sets, including governance strategies, design of ECM components, capacity management, O365 and Azure AD connections, content migration and migration tools, farm health, and performance tuning
• SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online (Office 365) experience, with a willingness to work with upcoming SharePoint 2019
• Strong PowerShell skills
• Experience with Sharegate beneficial
• Experience with Quest migration tools a plus
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum project methodologies
• Outstanding writing and communication skills
• Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent education degree or diploma
• Ability to lead and mentor
