As a Senior Electrical Engineer within WSP's Property & Buildings M&E Team , you will lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for mission-critical and high-performance buildings across the GTA. This role is based in Thornhill or Downtown Toronto and is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
Your Impact

• Lead the design and development of power distribution, lighting, grounding, earthing, and lightning protection systems for new and retrofit projects
• Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, drawings, and specifications
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and designers
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and offshore design teams
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development activities

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of consulting experience in building systems design
• Professional Engineer (PEO) licensed in Ontario
• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering Data Centre or mission-critical projects in Canada (labs, pharma, science facilities considered)
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards
• Proficiency in Revit, ETAP , and lighting design software such as AGI32 or Dialux
• Proven ability to lead electrical design teams on complex, multidisciplinary projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600 - $151,800
MB & ON: $104,500 - $143,900
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $103,500 - $137,400
