Paladin Security is currently hiring a Part-Time Healthcare Security Guard for Sunridge Medical Centre in Calgary. This position is ideal for individuals seeking consistent weekend hours while making a meaningful impact in a healthcare environment.

Healthcare Security can be both physically and emotionally demanding. Security Professionals are responsible for providing support, empathy, exceptional customer service, and ensuring the safety of healthcare staff, patients, visitors, and the public. Working in a healthcare setting requires professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm in dynamic situations.

• Status: Part-Time
• Pay Rate: $21.93 per hour
• Schedule:
• • Saturday: 0700 - 1500
  • Sunday: 0800 - 2000

A Day in the Life of a Healthcare Security Guard

While your duties may vary based on operational needs, you can expect to:

• Provide access control into and throughout the facility
• Conduct proactive patrols to identify security risks, safety hazards, and policy violations
• Monitor and respond to incidents throughout the property
• Respond to alarms, emergency situations, and calls for assistance
• Monitor patient safety and provide support to healthcare staff when required
• Investigate incidents and complete accurate reports and documentation
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, staff, and emergency responders
• Utilize verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques when responding to challenging situations
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment

Requirements

• Valid Alberta Security License
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
• Physically capable of completing patrols and responding to emergencies
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
