Cardiac Surgical ICU Registered Nurse

Cardiac Surgical ICU nursing at The Ottawa Hospital requires critical care expertise, bilingual communication, and 12-hour day and night shifts. This temporary position continues until approximately September 5, 2027.

The Ottawa Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for cardiac surgical intensive care. Candidates need two years of critical care nursing experience, College of Nurses of Ontario registration, and advanced English and French proficiency. The successful candidate applies the nursing process, assesses learning needs, and plans appropriate teaching. Nurses with two years of medical surgical experience may qualify for a 20-week critical care training program if no successful applicants emerge.

• Provide care for general patients in the unit

Requirements:

• Hold College of Nurses of Ontario registration

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with patients and colleagues
• Meet advanced English and French oral comprehension requirements
