Brand & Communications Lead

Onix is the Personal Intelligence platform. Each onix is a small language model trained exclusively on a single expert’s private corpus: clinical notes, unpublished research, proprietary methods that have never been on the internet and never will be. Fully isolated, never bleeding across experts.

Job Description

Generic AI averages the internet. Onix lets you summon the actual judgment of a health and wellness expert who has spent a career on your problem, private and personal: names already live on the App Store includeDave Rabin,Mark Sisson,Ashley Koff,William Li, andElissa Epel.

We need someone who owns that story everywhere it reaches a person: the App Store listing, social, press, every launch. This is the difference between someone scrolling past and someone who stops, downloads, and trusts Onix with something that actually matters to them.

You are a writer first: someone who can point to work that changed how people understood something, and say why it worked. You protect that voice everywhere someone finds us, and you build the work yourself, in person, from our office in Old Montreal.

What You Will Do

• Copy. Write and set the standard for every word Onix says, from social and the website to the App Store listing and the newsletter.
• Storytelling. Turn the company story, the expert stories, and every launch and press moment into a message a person actually feels.
• Brand. Own the argument for why Onix is different from Big AI, and keep that voice whole across every expert, a fast-shipping product team, and a founder-led feed.
• Creative production. Ship the assets, post creative, video cuts, campaign pieces, applying the visual system design owns and building things yourself when speed matters.
• Events and PR. Run our presence at conferences and expert-led gatherings, keep our PR firm equipped to pitch well, and dream up the ideas creative enough to cut through Big AI’s noise.

Qualifications

Who You Are

• A consumer marketing background, ideally health, wellness, or an adjacent lifestyle category.
• Shipped content in a real market: UGC, video, copywriting, and storytelling that moved someone, not just made something.
• Range across strategy and execution: you set the direction and still write the caption yourself. This is not an entry-level role.
• Comfortable in a high-velocity environment, with the grit, tenacity, and initiative to see a bold idea through. You are in it for the mission.

This Role is NOT For You If:

• You want a remote job. We build together in person, in Old Montreal.
• You want to direct writers and designers rather than write and produce the work yourself.
• You come from a B2B or pure enterprise background.

What Success Looks Like

• The App Store listing, the website, and the social feed read as one voice.
• People can say what Onix is after one sentence from us, and they use our words to say it.
• A campaign or moment you shaped gets people talking about Onix instead of scrolling past it.
• The brand guidelines stay current, and the team uses them without being asked.
• Our owned channels grow on a metric you defined and can defend.
