We are currently seeking a Warehouse Coordinator and Dispatcher to join our team!
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse and Distribution Coordinator to join our team. As a Warehouse and Distribution Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and driver, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods and materials.
The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively, accomplish time-sensitive tasks, and be technically proficient. They must be able to remain calm under pressure and thrive on orchestrating moving pieces of a puzzle.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment
- Utilize warehouse and transportation management systems/software to schedule and track shipments
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Analyze inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment or disposal
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including data entry into the system
- Maintain accurate location and pallet labels for all inventory
- Handle packing lists and/or bill of lading for all products entering or leaving the warehouse, including scanning and filing these documents electronically
- Accurately document any exceptions to the receipt of the product, within 24 hours or before (damage shortages, overages, etc.)
- Upload clear, accurate pictures associated with damage or discrepancies into the warehouse software
- Dispatch Driver by entering deliveries and routes into mobile app
- Send invoices to clients and receive payments in Quickbooks
- Book business and negotiate with truck vendors and third party warehouses as needed
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize warehouse processes, improve efficiency, and align priorities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Any other administrative duties as needed, as directed by management team
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment, or knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
- Proficiency in using warehouse/logistics management systems or similar customer database programs
- Proficiency in computer programs (Outlook, Teams, Adobe, Word, Excel, etc)
- Team player with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Strong analytical skills to analyze inventory data and identify trends or issues
- Excellent data entry skills with special attention to shipment and inventory detail
- Motivated to grow with the team and company
