Quantum Systems Validation Engineering Lead

Lead quantum system validation at Nord Quantique in Sherbrooke, focusing on superconducting systems, reliability engineering, and large-scale experimental qualification.This senior technical leadership role guides validation across increasingly complex quantum computing systems. You will shape strategies spanning cryogenic hardware, control, software, and deployment readiness. The work supports preservation of logical performance under scaling-induced variability and emergent error channels.Key Responsibilities:
Define system-level validation and reliability strategies across quantum computer generationsBuild multidisciplinary validation teams spanning robustness and reliability engineeringEstablish acceptance metrics, performance gates, and deployment-readiness criteriaLead long-duration stability testing and drift characterization campaignsCoordinate root-cause analysis during bring-up and validation failuresRequirements:
PhD in physics, engineering, quantum computing, or related fieldFive-plus postgraduate years in quantum or advanced hardware systemsTwo years of relevant industry experience includedExperience leading large-scale experimental or system validationAdvanced English and intermediate French considered an assetApply quantum validation, systems thinking, and reliability leadership to deployment-ready computing systems at Nord Quantique.
