Position Overview

Victoria, BC (Band 6.3)

Expected Salary: $57,508 – $71,885

Final base salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and internal equity. The offer will be presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

Your Role

As a project coordinator, you will contribute to ensuring Canada’s critical services and assets are available, reliable, and capable for defence and civil customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with the development, preparation, and management of detailed project plans to ensure that assigned projects are delivered as per the agreed scope, on time and within budget while ensuring quality, minimizing risk and maximizing the project’s success.
• Track and report on project schedules and budgets, and support project managers with implementing corrective measures if required.
• Participate in and assist with administration of project, customer, and sub-contractor meetings.
• Support the administration of subcontracts and subcontractors.
• Manage the project SharePoint site to facilitate communications and data availability.
• Coordinate onsite visitors, including support for health & safety requirements.
• Develop, manage, and release project communications and formal reporting to the client.
• Assist in the management of key improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate project collaboration including tracking and following up on timelines and deliverables, progress reports and action items.
• Provide support for risk analysis, lessons from experience, and key enabler initiatives.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience working in administration preferably in an engineering or marine environment.
• Experience in Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Applications, including strong Excel skills.
• Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills with the ability to collate and present information at appropriate levels.
• Ability to react quickly when necessary to meet challenging objectives.
• Solid organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
• Working knowledge of progressing/work package database; Project Estimating and Planning System (PEPS) is desirable.
• Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
