Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.Job Responsibilities:Oversee and guides tooling improvement modifications with teamUtilize toolmakers and team leaders to assist or complete critical tooling through TRN processManage, monitor and analyse key tasks, activities and cost through the multiple phases of the tool modification processOutline timing, monitor and report (monthly) all activities (internal and external)Total program costs/budgetsCreates tooling PFMEA’s on all new projectsDisposition of obsolete tooling with OEM’sManage Open issues (tooling related – departmental / TRN’s )Meeting report outsCoordination of cross-functional team responsibilities (internally and externally) for tooling issues.Involvement in customer negotiationsManage spare component acquisitions for all new tooling projectsAssist in Departmental Process ChangesMaintain / monitor all electronic tooling records. Provides directions to other tooling specialistsProvide toolmakers with drawingsMeet or exceed budget and improve contribution marginUtilise Company and Customer Timing Plans, Time/Resource Activity PlansProvide guidance to Management in all Program tooling related decisions.Assist in ensuring spares are set to correct minimum/maximum levels at the beginning of all new programs.Assist in set up of PM for toolingMaintain a confidential and professional demeanour at all timesWork in a safe manner at all times including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Abide by company rules and policies as set out in the Employee HandbookMeet all customer commitments and all customer milestonesUpdate Lessons Learned databaseProvide direction on current production tooling to help resolve issues.Perform other duties as requiredSalary Range:$95,000 - $105,000Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
