Civil Litigation Law Clerk (Minimum 5 Years Experience)

Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Law Clerk with a minimum of five years of dedicated practice to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional legal drafting skills, along with a strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and experience with modern Ontario court platforms, including CaseCentre and the Justice Services Online (JSO) portal.
Duties
- Oversee and organize complex litigation files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timelines are strictly followed.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage electronic filings via the JSO portal and organize digital hearing bundles for CaseCentre.
- Assist in preparing discovery requests, responses, and manage document review processes.
- Provide administrative support, where necessary and which includes (but is not limited to) completing file opening forms, photocopying, scanning and filing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience working in Ontario as a civil litigation law clerk.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal drafting, document review, and case analysis skills.
- Familiarity with litigation procedures, court rules, and document management systems.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Experience in commercial litigation considered a strong asset.
