Associate Lawyer - Corporate Energy

Our client is a prominent full-service national law firm with a significant presence across Canada. For more than two decades, they have been consistently recognized as one of the top workplaces in the country.

Our client is now looking for an exceptional mid-level associate to join their prestigious Energy practice group in the Calgary office. This team provides premier advice and legal services on all aspects of energy-related private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and complex project development transactions. Their expertise encompasses project structuring, co-ownership arrangements, operations, marketing, supply/off-take transactions, and new developments involving industry leaders, as well as both established and emerging independent producers and operators.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• 4-8 years of post-call experience in corporate/energy law from a reputable law firm, or a combination of private practice and in-house experience in oil and gas, power, and renewables, including private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project development.
• Extensive transactional experience, including proficiency in drafting and negotiations.
• Strong academic credentials with above-average transcripts.
• A collaborative team player with a solid work ethic.
• Client-service oriented.
• Qualified to practice law in Canada.
