- Rechercher la cause des pannes et vérifier le fonctionnement de la machinerie pour déceler les défauts et les défaillances
- Déterminer la nature des défauts et des défaillances, en se servant d'équipement de contrôle informatisé et d'autre outillage d'essai, en vue de préciser l'ampleur des réparations à effectuer
- Tenir des registres d'entretien et des dossiers
- Mettre à l'essai l'équipement réparé pour s'assurer qu'il fonctionne bien et que les réparations soient conformes aux exigences du fabricant
- Fixer des composantes et régler des nouvelles machines agricoles
- Nettoyer et lubrifier l'équipement et effectuer d'autres travaux d'entretien courant
- Réparer des camions lourds
- Vérifier et réparer des systèmes de contrôles d'émission
- Assurer l'entretien routinier des machines
