Cambridge Health and Safety Specialist

Elevate workplace safety as a Health and Safety Specialist at Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited in Cambridge, ON. This 18-month contract role combines hands-on fieldwork with compliance-driven assessments to ensure a secure environment.

Join P&H's Milling division as a proactive Health and Safety Specialist. You will collaborate with teams in the field to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective safety protocols. Approximately 50% travel to mill locations is required to support operational compliance and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with OHS regulations and CSA standards • Work closely with teams to develop safety policies • Identify hazards and recommend preventive measures • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and training

Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety or related field • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial setting • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time • Experience with incident investigation and root causes analysis • CRSP designation is an asset
