dump truck driver (Edmonton)

Responsibilities Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS navigation devices, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
Demonstrate mountain driving expertise.
Exhibit professionalism in customer service.
Load and unload goods and materials.
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
Perform brake adjustments.
Perform emergency roadside repairs.
Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
Secure cargo with tarps and ensure its safety and security.
Qualifications Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
Documentation knowledge: accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip), trip reports, and type of trucking and equipment.
Physical ability to handle heavy loads, work under large workloads, and perform repetitive tasks.
Willingness to undergo training to develop green job skills and contribute to positive environmental outcomes.
