Job Description

A growing contractor, specialized in new multi-residential projects of 24 units or less, is looking for a superintendent to oversee its sites on the South Shore and the island of Montreal. Main Responsibilities

• Supervise the construction of new multi-residential buildings (from duplex to 24 units or less)
  

• Ensure effective coordination of subcontractors on site
  

• Ensure compliance with deadlines, plans, and quality standards
  

• Detect, anticipate, and resolve technical unforeseen issues
  

• Collaborate closely with a young project manager in place, ensuring a complementary role (pilot/co-pilot)
  

• Actively participate in planning activities on site
  

• Ensure rigorous quality control and oversee health and safety at work
  

• Promote a good atmosphere and team spirit on site
  

Desired Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent in new multi-residential construction
  

• Experience in residential expansion projects: an asset
  

• Asset: field experience with progression to a supervisory position
  

• Good knowledge of construction methods, urban constraints, and working in confined spaces
  

• Positive leadership, proactivity, organizational skills, and ability to coach
  

• Ability to work with simple tools (spreadsheets) — specialized software is not yet implemented
