The role supports French-language programming at La Cité francophone. Responsibilities span production planning, staffing, budgeting, equipment, safety, and performance operations across the 196-seat venue, Studio Yolande Proulx, and carpentry workshop.Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical concepts, equipment needs, staffing, and production schedulesManage technical aspects of the Festival théâtre jeunesse de l’AlbertaHire, supervise, train, support, and evaluate production staffOversee safe load-ins, load-outs, performances, and theatre rentalsMaintain facilities, tools, equipment, and safe working environmentsRequirements:
Minimum three years’ Technical Director or related experienceKnowledge of production techniques and staging principlesExperience with AutoCAD, ETC consoles, and digital audio mixersSuperior management and staff motivation experienceEvening and weekend availability;
First Aid and bilingualism assetsApply theatre leadership, technical planning, and production management skills across L’UniThéâtre’s Edmonton performances and rentals.
