Position Purpose
Reporting to the Inspection Supervisor, the position holder supports all activities of the Quality Control department.

Responsibilities

Perform hardness testing on parts using the appropriate equipment;

Prepare inspection reports using computer-based tools;

Learn and apply the various sampling tables;

Perform straightening operations on small metal parts;

Learn straightening techniques for complex parts;

Safely operate lifting and material-handling equipment (hoists, forklifts, etc.);

Handle parts using material-handling equipment (hoists, forklifts, etc.);

Collaborate with other members of the inspection team to ensure product compliance;

Apply quality standards (AS9100) and internal procedures;

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment;

Perform any other related duties.

Job Requirements

Required Education

Vocational diploma (DEP), college diploma (DEC) in Aircraft Construction or Mechanical Engineering, vocational diploma (DEP) in Machining, or any other combination of education and relevant experience;

Laboratory experience may be considered;

3–5 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of measuring equipment;

Proficiency with computer tools for report writing;

Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (an asset);

Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, and functional proficiency in written English, required to read and understand English-language documentation from suppliers located outside Quebec.

Thoroughness, precision, and attention to detail;

Strong analytical and observational skills;

Willingness to learn and continuously improve;

Commitment to following safety guidelines and quality standards.
