Job Responsibility:
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician that holds a Journeyman Certificate or is currently registered as a 3rd or 4th year apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the overall maintenance of vehicles to meet high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot vehicle issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle's condition, repair needs, and service recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
- proficient with computers and assist in quotations as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or independent shop setting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various automotive systems.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
