Shifts : Multiple (flexibility required)
Location: East York, ON
Our exclusive client a global leader in food manufacturing is looking for licensed Millwrights with the right personality and excellent skills to join their team on a permanent basis in East York, ON
Open Shifts:
- Day shift (6am to 2.30pm)
- Afternoon shift (2pm to 10.30pm)
- Night shift (10pm to 6.30am)
- Weekend A (6am to 6.30pm & 2 weekday shifts)
- Weekend B (6pm to 6.30am & 2 weekday shifts)
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification required.
- Minimum 5 years of Millwright experience, including at least 2 years within a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with electrical aptitude and exposure to industrial electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing DC equipment, processing equipment, conveyors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production machinery.
- Experience with machine installations, equipment set-up, line changeovers, alignment, fabrication of parts, and machinery repairs.
- Proven experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience supporting production line start-ups, equipment adjustments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comfortable working with CMMS systems, maintenance documentation, and safety procedures.
- Strong understanding of workplace health & safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and GMP standards within manufacturing environments.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call schedules as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a proactive and safety-focused mindset.
