Steer the future of Fort William First Nation as the Chief Executive Officer, focusing on strategic leadership and community engagement. Help manage programs and ensure governance while fostering adherence to Anishinaabe values. Reporting to Chief and Council, the CEO will be responsible for ensuring optimal service delivery and financial oversight. Your leadership will be pivotal in aligning FWFN’s operations with its cultural and strategic objectives. Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders will be essential for promoting a thriving community environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing FWFN’s strategic mission
- Oversee governance processes and Council meeting logistics
- Direct budgeting and financial accountability efforts
- Represent FWFN’s interests in negotiations and partnerships
- Promote a culturally rich workplace
- Relevant university degree in Business or Finance
- At least five years in senior management roles with First Nations
- Proven expertise in governance and financial systems
- Familiarity with cultural practices of Fort William First Nation
- Capability to travel and undergo background checks
