The Role: IT Systems Analyst

Reporting to the Manager of Store Technology, the skilled and experienced IT Systems Analyst will focus on Pharmacy Retail Systems and IT infrastructure. The role involves developing, documenting, and deploying new IT solutions to improve pharmacy retail operations. This requires expertise in pharmacy retail systems, IT infrastructure, and the ability to bridge technology and business needs.

Principal Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting‑edge IT solutions for pharmacy retail systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation for all IT solutions, including system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.
• Oversee the smooth transition of new IT solutions into production, including testing and user training.
• Monitor and manage the technology infrastructure supporting pharmacy retail, focusing on performance and security.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities for improving pharmacy operations.
• Work with vendors to select and implement software and hardware solutions.
• Investigate complex system issues and provide research‑based solutions.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations.
• Stay current on industry trends and recommend enhancements to improve system performance.
• Assess new technologies for applicability across the Enterprise Retail environment and provide benefit analyses.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• College or University degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Systems Analyst with a focus on pharmacy retail systems and infrastructure.
• Ability to automate tasks and streamline processes using Power Automate, PowerShell, and other scripting languages.
• Experience with System Center Operations Manager, System Center Configuration Manager, and Adaptiva peer‑to‑peer automation technology.
• Familiarity with hardware components, network architecture, and cloud computing.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and related cloud technologies.
• Experience with modern operating systems (Windows Server, Windows Desktop, iOS, Android).
• Knowledge of creating and deploying operating systems.
• Result‑oriented with a "can‑do" attitude, adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
• Ability to recommend future business and solution opportunities.
• Strong independence, prioritization, and meeting of project deadlines.
• Willingness to provide after‑hours support during implementation.
• Strong research skills and awareness of data privacy practices.
