Site Description: Artillery Park Aquatic Centre has a 25-metre, six lane lap pool, a 15-metre leisure pool, a fitness centre with a gymnasium and cardio/weight equipment, and all your favourite fitness programs.
Position: Temporary Full-Time Security Guard - City of Kingston APAC
Site: City of Kingston APAC - 382 Bagot St
Hours: Monday - Friday 06:00-14:00
Payrate: $22.80/hour
Overtime Method: Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 hours
Posting Date: June 23, 2026

Job Responsibilities:
- Proactive & reactive security patrols
- Majority of shift will be spent conducting exterior patrols
- Response to incidents
- Enforce new rules
- Report writing and note taking
- Daily shift reports
- Access Control
- Investigate routine incidents
- Additional Duties as Assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Able to stand for up to 6-8 hours per shift
- Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
- Enforce Rules on site
- English communication (oral and written) required
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Certification Requirements (All)
Valid Ontario Security License
First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
