RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Board with the successful and efficient day-to-day operations of North West Seniors Society in accordance with the Society’s policies. The office clerk is supervised by the President and/or their designate.
DUTIES:
- Support day-to-day operation of the centre and the delivery of the Society’s programs and services.
- Answer the telephone, check voicemail and Emails, forward messages to the appropriate person(s).
- Greet members and visitors to the centre in a professional and courteous manner.
- Make up brochures, posters and banners as required.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with other staff and the Board to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Working knowledge of office equipment.
- Handling cash and ticket sales for centre events; participate in fundraising activities as needed.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Successful candidate will be required to obtain a security clearance letter from City of Edmonton Police Department.
We are a nonprofit activity centre focused on creating a safe, welcoming environment for seniors. Our centre provides programs & social activities. We are open 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday thru Friday, there are also some evening and weekend event. We have a small working kitchen providing refreshments & light lunches.
