Financial Aid Officer – Fredericton

triOS College Business Technology Healthcare, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Location: On‑site at the Fredericton Campus - 850 Prospect St, Fredericton, NB E3B 9M5

Hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, 2 remote Saturdays will be required per month.

Start Date: Immediate

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Financial Aid Officer (FAO) is to provide financial counseling to students, enabling them to obtain educational funding resources. In addition, the FAO collects tuition and courseware fees and maintains student records.

Responsibilities

• Interview student applicants to discuss financial options.
• Process students' financial applications.
• Create payment plans for students.
• Maintain financial reports, issue receipts, and track payments.
• Daily banking (deposits and credit cards).
• Manage student accounts, accounts receivable, and collections.
• Administer financial aid and distribute funds.
• Follow up with students and administer student loan default management tasks.
• Correspond with career colleges and financial institutions.
• Enter student data in Great Plains (GP) and XCAS when applicable.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Experience working with student financial aid is an asset.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in a private career college.
• Strong background in customer service and sales.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel).
