Join the Upper Canada Village team as a Camp Counsellor this summer, working with children aged 8-14 in an immersive historic environment. Activities will include crafts, music, and sports. The role is available for the summer months of June to August 2026, at Upper Canada Village. You will be actively involved in managing and leading camp programs while ensuring participant safety and enjoying interactive, hands-on experiences. Candidates must demonstrate leadership and communicate effectively with children, engaging them in various educational activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and supervise camp activities for children
- Lead sessions in crafts, music, and sports
- Uphold safety and housekeeping standards
- Assist with family-centered activities as necessary
- Support curriculum-based school programs during off-peak months
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for teaching and teamwork
- Familiarity with 19th-century Ontario history
- Valid driver's license and first aid qualifications
- Vulnerable service sector background check needed
