Traffic Control Person (TCP)

Falcon Contracting Ltd. is a locally owned and operated heavy civil construction company serving Northern BC. We are currently seeking motivated, safety-conscious Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic through work zones.
• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices.
• Ensure the safe movement of workers, equipment, and the public.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, workers, and other TCPs using verbal instructions, hand signals, or radios.
• Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Follow company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must have a valid TCP Certification
• Must have a Class 5 Driver's Licence.
• Must have previous traffic control experience
• Training that follows the latest edition of the Traffic Management Manual (TMM), including traffic control responsibilities, device standards, layout requirements, and safe work practices.
• Knowledge of the 2020 TMM fundamentals.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) and Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
• Strong situational awareness and judgment.
• Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work flexible hours, including overtime and travel as required.
• First Aid certification is considered an asset.
