General Duties:
  • Delivers skids of empty boxes / lugs / trays to the harvest rooms in a timely manner

  • Obtains completed pallets of harvested product and delivers to the scanning area

  • Scans trays and boxes of mushroom product into the database using barcodes and barcode reader

  • Responsible to ensure that the proper code for each type of mushroom is scanned into the database

  • Provides supplies and removes mushrooms from trolley, floor Harvesters as required

  • Carries mushrooms and stacks on skids

  • Verifies the Harvest Information Sheets against the actual product that has been received

  • Delivers scanned product to the packaging cooler or to the packaging line as required

  • Checks inventory daily

  • Ensures proper container counts to complete orders

  • Checks weights and quality when removing harvested product from the rooms

  • Reports quality concerns to supervisors

  • Responsible for keeping cooler clean, organized, and ensuring product is rotated

  • Assists with cooler and inventory counts

  • Assists with harvest sanitization when needed

  • Performs any other duties as assigned

  • Interact with others in a manner that promotes respect, confidentiality and dignity

  • Develop and actively foster an engaged work force, displaying professionalism at all times

  • Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment

  • Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor

  • Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the supervisor immediately

  • Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation

  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as trained

  • Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.

Hours of Work:
  • 5 to 6 days / week

  • Approximately 40 to 60 hours / week; 8 to 14 hours / day

  • Public Holidays / Weekends as scheduled

  • Daily shift end times vary based on production needs

Earnings:
  • $19.38 per hour
