Financial Management Supervisor York Region

Lead financial planning and reporting for York Region in Newmarket, coordinating budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and accounting services within a hybrid-eligible workplace.Reporting to the Manager, Finance, Budget and Business Planning, this temporary full-time Supervisor oversees financial management services for an assigned portfolio and consolidated Department. The work supports internal and external partners through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and program accounting services. You will also serve as a key liaison for internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate multi-year budgeting and business planning processesPrepare financial, performance, and KPI reportsCoordinate transactional accounting, procurement, and credit cardsSupport internal and external financial auditsDevelop process and audit controls safeguarding Regional assetsRequirements:
University degree in business, economics, finance, or equivalentCertified Professional Accountant registration in OntarioThree years’ senior financial experience in a large organizationOne year of demonstrated people leadership experienceFinancial planning, reporting, analysis, forecasting, and project management experienceApply financial leadership, accounting expertise, and analytical skills to support York Region’s Public Works Finance and Performance services.
