Sole proprietor-owned and operated, I specialize in high-quality residential and commercial flooring installation for new builds and renovations. I take pride in my work, and am committed to providing excellent craftsmanship and customer service. I am seeking a motivated Construction Helper to aid in keeping up with the ever-growing demand.
Job Description:
As a Construction Helper, you will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various flooring types. Your role is crucial in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
Most work is performed in and around Whitehorse, but there may be occasional travel to the communities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cleaning of job sites
- Carry and organize materials and tools
- Help install different types of flooring (i.e., vinyl click, laminate, ceramic tile, epoxy, etc.)
- Follow safety protocols and regulations
- Support any additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn- but preference given to those with existing flooring or construction experience. Wage will commensurate with prior experience.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work a physical job all day
- Good teamwork and communication skills. Must be proficient in speaking and understanding English.
- Dependable and punctual
- Demonstration of good personal hygiene
- Must have their own mode of transportation and a valid driver's license
- Permanent Canadian resident (i.e., not on a temporary work visa)
- Currently residing in Whitehorse, Yukon
