About this opportunity We are seeking a 5G Cloud RAN Software Developer to join our Cloud RAN DU (Distributed Unit) Baseband function development team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving innovation and shaping the future of radio access networks through the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions in a cloud-native environment.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of 5G Cloud RAN baseband features, particularly those related to the Layer 2 scheduler.
• Interpret and implement 3GPP specifications; contribute to algorithm design and systemization efforts.
• Perform requirement analysis, test design, and tool development to support software delivery.
• Develop real-time embedded software that runs in a cloud-based infrastructure on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable radio access solutions.
• Participate in product documentation, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines as part of a DevOps-driven team.

You will bring

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with
• Background in wireless communications and experience in software engineering in telco is a plus.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded programming
• Familiarity with one or more: Python, Bash, JSON, YAML, XML
• Linux as a developer
• Understanding of NR & LTE 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of Radio Resource Management, MAC/RLC/PDCL/Physical Layer, and Mobility is a plus
• Experience with real time embedded sw development

This position reports to Product Development leader of BNEW RCE RP L2.

Your Pay The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Ericsson's Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Your Time Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
