As a Systems Administrator at Paladin, you’ll partner closely with our Senior Systems Administrator to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across Canada and the United States. You’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining high-performing, secure systems while acting as a key escalation point for complex technical issues.

What You’ll Do
Infrastructure & Operations
- Support the design, deployment, and operation of enterprise systems and infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain systems health, performance, and availability across multiple environments
- Implement system upgrades, patches, and infrastructure improvements
- Manage and execute backup and recovery processes
Support & Escalation
- Act as the primary escalation point for Tier 2/3 support issues
- Partner with the Service Desk to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Track and manage incidents using a ticketing system
Security & Compliance
- Apply security best practices across all systems and deployments
- Investigate cybersecurity alerts and respond to incidents
- Support Zero Trust architecture principles and implementation
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage scripting and automation to improve efficiency and reliability
- Maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate system changes, maintenance windows, and impacts to stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed
What You Bring
Experience & Education
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration or IT operations
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent certification and experience.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with:
- Windows Server environments 2012–2025
- Windows 10/11
- Active Directory (Hybrid / Azure AD)
- Microsoft 365 with a high focus on Teams phone
- Virtualization platforms (Nutanix HCI preferred)
- Veeam Backup solutions
- Cloud platforms (Azure IaaS, AWS EC2/VPC)
- Familiarity with:
- SQL Server administration
- Configuration management tools (e.g., SCCM / Endpoint Manager)
- Five9 phone system
- Solid understanding of:
- Networking fundamentals
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred)
- Zero Trust security models
- Certifications (Nice to Have)
- Microsoft (MCSA or role-based certifications)
- Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA)
- CompTIA A+ / Network+
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset
Additional Details
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required
- Occasional flexible hours may be necessary to support business needs across regions
