VIDEO & PHOTOGRAPHY PRODUCER

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Video and Photography Producer for a contract role. You will manage full-cycle video and photo production across tourism and cultural industry projects, from pre-production planning through to final delivery, frequently in remote northern locations.

You must be self-sufficient in the field, capable of managing complete production cycles independently or with a small crew, and comfortable working in challenging Arctic environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-production research and content planning

• Write scripts and develop storyboards for video and photo projects

• Shoot high-quality video footage and photography across communities

• Record and manage location sound and audio production

• Write narration, record voice-overs, and coordinate translation as needed

• Edit picture, video, and sound to professional broadcast standards

• Produce and direct shoots independently or with small crews

• Complete re-recording, sound mixing, and post-production workflows

• Perform online post-production and colour correction

• Manage duplication and versioning for multi-platform delivery

Requirements

• Professional video production and photography experience

• Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant content

• Experience shooting in remote, Arctic, or challenging weather environments

• Ability to work independently and manage full production cycles from brief to delivery

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Nunavut communities

• Portfolio demonstrating tourism, cultural, or Indigenous content

• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro)

• Own professional-grade camera, audio, and editing equipment

• Diploma or degree in Film Production, Photography, Broadcasting, or related field

• Inuktitut voice-over or translation capability
