Art Engineering Inc. (AEI) is currently seeking a Junior or Intermediate Structural Designer (Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer) to join our growing team in Ottawa, Ontario. AEI strongly encourages the applications of potential candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, are ambitious, and seeking the next step in their career progression. This post is for an existing vacancy. AEI does not use any artificial intelligence to screen or assess applications.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 (Additional years of experience for experienced applicants will be considered for an increased salary range)
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete structural analyses, calculations, and designs for a variety of projects
- Prepare structural drawings and technical reports for projects under the guidance of experienced engineers
- Conduct site inspections and field reviews
- Communicate directly with clients and contractors
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-4 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant local standards and codes (CSA, OBC, etc.)
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Valid ‘G’ driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for travel to project sites
